FAQ

-

Maintain the right tyre pressure

Ensure accurate cold tyre pressure a minimum of once a month. Warm tyres exceed cold tyres' pressure by 4~5psi. Under-inflated tyres can add up to 10 % to the fuel bill

Drive in top gear

Maximize the usage of top gear and drive in an economical speed range for enhanced fuel efficiency. Use the gear shift indicator (if equipped) to determine the recommended gear for your vehicle’s current speed.

Use economy mode

Drive in economical mode (if available). It ensures optimum fuel economy.

Avoid frequent gear shifting

The fuel economy gets affected by the frequency of changing gears, sudden acceleration and braking.

Avoid engine idling

The car loses around one kilometre of travel for every three minutes of idling.

Avoid riding the clutch pedal

Driving with your foot resting on the clutch pedal will cause clutch slippage, resulting in more fuel consumption.

Timely service & maintenance

Regular service and properly tuned cars can save up to 6% fuel and avoid expensive repairs.

Brakes maintenance

Check the brakes for dragging and have them checked if such an issue is discovered.

Choose quality fuel

Using poor-quality fuel affects the engine’s performance and damages essential engine components too.

Check tyre health

Unevenly worn tyres can indicate improper wheel alignment or tracking. This increases friction, requiring the engine to work harder and consume more fuel.

Travel light

Do not carry unnecessary weight in the boot.

Park in covered areas

Avoid parking in direct sunlight as it raises the cabin temperature. The Air conditioner and the engine, in turn, work harder to cool the cabin which leads to more fuel consumption.

Set the right AC temperature

Keep the Air Conditioning temperature at 23° C for optimum cooling and fuel efficiency.

Drive with windows rolled up

To reduce air resistance on highways, roll up the windows and turn on the air conditioning. This will save more fuel.

Navigate your way

Use online navigation systems like google maps and apple maps to choose routes with less traffic.
