Using the i-PEDAL

i-PEDAL is a one-pedal driving feature that utilizes regenerative braking in EVs. It allows drivers to control the speed of the vehicle and bring it to a complete stop using only the accelerator pedal.

How to activate and deactivate the i-PEDAL

Hands pressing paddle shifter with index finger to activate and deactivate the i-PEDAL
  • Pull the left paddle shifter while in level 3 of regenerative braking, and i-PEDAL will be activated.
  • While i-PEDAL is active, pull the right paddle shifter once, or shift to 'R' (reverse) → shift to 'D' (drive) mode, and the i-PEDAL will be deactivated. Then the regenerative braking will return to the 3-level setting.

Cautions

  • Stopping may not be possible depending on road and vehicle conditions. In such cases, use the brake pedal to control your speed.
  • If you need to brake firmly or quickly, use the brake pedal instead of the i-PEDAL.
  • Avoid using the i-PEDAL on slippery roads.
The availability and operation of features may vary depending on the model, trim, and region. For detailed information, please refer to the owner’s manual for your vehicle.
