Commercial Vehicles Warranty

Kia commercial vehicles (ICE/HEV/PHEV) are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 3-year/100,000 km factory warranty. Upon expiry, Cycle & Carriage undertakes another 2-year warranty, stretching it to a total of 5 years/100,000 km (whichever comes first) from date of registration.

Engine Warranty

Kia passenger vehicles (ICE/HEV/PHEV) comes with 5-year engine warranty from factory. Upon expiry of the factory warranty at the end of 5th year, Cycle & Carriage undertakes another 5 years of warranty, stretching it to a total of 10 years/200,000 km (whichever comes first) from date of registration.

Lithium Battery Warranty

The vehicle’s lithium-ion polymer hybrid battery (excluding Niro 12V LIPB) is covered under factory’s 5-year unlimited warranty. Upon expiry, Cycle & Carriage undertakes another 5 years warranty, stretching it to a total of 10 years/200,000 km (whichever comes first) from date of registration.

FAQ

  • Contractual Warranty

    Repair or replacement of parts acknowledged as faulty by the Manufacturer, as well as the labour necessary to repair the vehicle. Towing for immobilised vehicle within Singapore is covered.

     

    Anti-perforation

    Up to 5 years for passenger cars from the date of registration, subject to an annual inspection by Cycle & Carriage.

     

    Battery (including Niro 12 V LIPB)

    1-year with unlimited mileage from the date of vehicle registration.

     

    Genuine Parts

    All genuine parts (exclude wear and tear) replacement and repairs sold by Cycle & Carriage come with a 2-year or 40,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. Genuine parts always come with warranty, unlike non-genuine parts.

     

    Paintwork

    Original bodywork paint or lacquer defect.

     

    Audio / AVN

    Audio / AVN unit are covered under a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, from the date of registration.

     

    Accessories

    Accessories fitted locally such as in-car camera, reverse sensor and GPS system are covered under warranty for 1 year.

  • Consumables

    Consumables are normal maintenance items which require periodic replacement from motoring wear and tear. They include:

    • All types of lubricants and fluids
    • Refrigerants

     

    Wear-and-Tear Items

    Wear-and-tear items require periodic inspections, adjustment and/or replacement at certain mileage. They include parts such as but are not limited to:

    • Air cleaner element
    • Brake pads & brake discs
    • Brushes of various types of motors
    • Bushings clutch disc & clutch cover
    • De-colouration, fading & deformation of leather & other trims
    • De-colouration, fading, flawing, rusting, etc. of paint coat
    • Drive belts
    • Fuel filter
    • Fuses
    • Lamp bulbs
    • Oil filter
    • Oil seal
    • Remote key battery
    • Rubber parts
    • Spark plugs (Gasoline) & glow plugs (Diesel)
    • Tubes or hoses
    • Tyres various types of gaskets (except cylinder head gasket)
    • Wiper blade (including rubber)
    • Incidental or consequential costs, such as loss of use, personal effects or income, are also not covered.

     

    Warranty Conditions

    Maintenance and repairs on your vehicle in Singapore must be carried out in accordance with the prescription laid down by Kia Motors Corporation (the Manufacturer). It is strongly advised that such operations are to be performed by qualified specialist workshops such as Cycle & Carriage.

    Failure to comply with the recommended maintenance schedule may invalidate this vehicle warranty. You must provide proof of maintenance records, invoices, etc.

    Your vehicle warranty does not cover damages or malfunctions caused directly or indirectly by:

    • Use of vehicle for motorsport, races, rallies or resultant accidents.
    • Alteration to the original specifications or installation of experimental equipment which are neither provided for nor authorised by the Manufacturer or Cycle & Carriage.
    • Use of non-genuine parts.
    • Natural/environmental causes.
    • War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether declared as a war or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, riots, etc.
    • Vandalism.
    • Glass damage, if it is not clearly proven that this is due to manufacturing or installation errors.
    • Any modifications to the vehicle’s system and components, bodywork alterations or accessories fitted to the vehicle after its manufacture, that were not carried out by Cycle & Carriage.
    • Exceeding permitted axle loads.
    • Maintenance and/or repairs not performed in accordance with Kia specified procedures or otherwise improperly performed by non-qualified specialist workshops.
    • Your warranty may become invalid if you continue to drive when a fault becomes apparent. Please refer to owner’s manual.
  • You may send your Kia to any of our Authorised Service Centres for warranty and servicing. For a full listing of Kia Authorised Service Centres, visit our Find a Dealer section or call our Kia Aftersales hotline at 6866 1666.
  • Kia parts and accessories install at factory are covered by the vehicle warranty. Locally fitted accessories such as in-car camera, reverse sensor and GPS system are covered under warranty for a period of 1 year. All genuine parts (exclude wear and tear) replacement and repairs sold by Cycle & Carriage come with a 2-year or 40,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.
  • The Kia vehicle warranty will continue to apply to vehicle that may have been modified. However, Kia does not warrant the workmanship of, not any part, component, assembly, equipment, or accessory that has not been supplied by and approved by Kia for the specified purpose. Should any defect be caused by or be attributed to any modification not carried out at the direction of the manufacturer, the Kia vehicle warranty will not cover any part, component, assembly, equipment or accessory used on the modification, nor any part, component, assembly, equipment or accessory that has been damaged due to a failure which is attributed to the modification.
  • If a component covered by the Kia vehicle warranty fails as a result of poor workmanship or materials, rendering the vehicle immobile or undriveable, the cost of towing to the nearest Kia Authorised Service Centre is generally covered under warranty. It is recommended that you contact our Kia Authorised Service Centre at 6866 1666 for advice regarding warranty coverage prior to arranging for towing. If you are a Kia Care Service Plan member, you are eligible for the towing service free of charge. Please call our 24/7 Roadside Assistance at 6475 9500.
  • Kia does not manufacture LPG compatible engines for vehicles imported to Singapore. Therefore, Kia advises that LPG should not be used in its range of petrol vehicles. The use of LPG in an engine not specifically designed for use with this type of fuel may lead to excessive wear, drivability concerns and engine management issues.

    If a LPG system is fitted to a Kia engine/vehicle, the Kia vehicle warranty does not apply to the LPG system nor to any conditions/defects that are attributable to the LPG system installation or to operation of the engine using LPG. Refer to the previous question - ‘Will my warranty be affected if I have the vehicle modified?’

  • The tyre manufacturer covers the original tyres fitted to the vehicle. Should you have any concerns regarding the tyres on your vehicle, contact any of our Kia Authorised Service Centre at 6866 1666 for assistance.
  • The 12 V auxiliary battery on Kia vehicle is covered for 1 year (unlimited mileage) from the vehicle registration date.

    The original High Voltage (HV) Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery (“EV Battery”) Capacity coverage warranty period is 10 years or 200,000 km, whichever comes first. Please refer to the warranty terms and conditions for full details.
