Tyre Rotation and Balancing Services and Plan

To enhance tyre lifespan and improve fuel efficiency, it is recommended to rotate and balance your tyres every 5,000 km. The Tyre Rotation and Balancing Plan provides 6 sessions of tyre rotation and balancing to optimise tyre performance.

    Tyre Maintenance and Care Tips

    Tyre Pressure

Improper tyre pressure can lead to hazardous accidents, reduce tyre lifespan, and increase fuel consumption. Therefore, it’s essential to check your tyre pressure regularly to ensure optimal tyre performance and safe driving.

    Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment ensures that all the tyres are correctly angled with each other to prevent a rough ride, and premature tyre wear out.

    Wheel Balancing

Wheel balancing helps to extend the lifespan of your tyres by ensuring that the tyre tread wears down evenly. Balanced wheels will also prevent other issues like noise and vibration while driving.

    Rotation

Rotate your tyres regularly can help to extend the tyre lifespan, improves handling, and even out the wear and tear.

    FAQ

    • You can check the recommended tyre pressure for your vehicle by looking at the tyre pressure label attached to the centre pillar next to the driver's seat or by checking the owner's manual.
    • If your Kia was launched after mid-2010, it may have a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that constantly checks tyre pressure. The TPMS may alert you with the tyre pressure warning light if there's low air pressure caused by underinflation or puncture. To resolve this issue, you can use tyre mobility kit or send your vehicle to our Drive-In Tyre Shop at any of the Kia Authorised Service Centres for inspection and repair.
    • Wheel alignment involves adjusting the angles of your Kia's steering and suspension components to their original specifications. Misalignment can cause uneven tyre wear, noise, and vibrations. This can be due to factors like tyre condition, driving habits, and environment. To prevent these issues, it's recommended to have your wheels aligned after changing your tyres.
    • Check the tyre tread depth and replace the tyre if it's less than 1.6 mm in general road driving or less than 2.4 mm in highway driving.
    • If you have tyre damage while driving, it's critical to act quickly to avoid accidents. First, pull over safely and turn on hazard lights and parking brake. Next, use the tyre mobility kit to temporarily fix the puncture. Then, drive at a maximum speed of 80 km/h to our Drive-In Tyre Shop at any of the Kia Authorised Service Centres. If the vehicle cannot be driven, call Kia Roadside Assistance.
