The people who love Kia are a lot like the people who work here. They love that technology is changing the way people move. They are creative and have ideas that they want to share with the world. As much as we appreciate sharing ideas, Kia America, Inc. (“Kia”) has a long-standing policy to not accept, review or consider any unsolicited ideas, works, materials, proposals, suggestions, artwork, content or the like, including those related to vehicles and other products and services, vehicle and service improvements, product technologies, vehicle names, advertising strategies, slogans, songs, jingles, etc. (each, a “Submission” and collectively, “Submissions”). Please do not send or provide any Submissions in any form to Kia, or any of its employees, agencies or contractors, through our websites, via email or snail mail or in any other manner. The reason for this policy is to avoid the potential for future misunderstandings or disputes regarding intellectual property ownership around your Submissions.
If, after reviewing our policy, you still choose to send us a Submission, you agree that, regardless of anything you say, write or record to the contrary, your Submission and its contents:
Kia finds that many Submissions that it receives are already in the public domain or are identical or substantially similar to products and services developed or in development by Kia’s own employees or other third parties; or, for a host of many other reasons, are not novel or unique. Likewise, in the future, Kia may, with or without any reference to a Submission, develop or receive from others ideas, concepts, and materials that are identical or substantially similar to your Submission. Kia’s actions related to a Submission (e.g., internal discussions about the Submission) does not create an explicit or implied admission that the Submission is proprietary, novel, original, or unique; obligate Kia to pay you any money; or impair Kia’s right to contest existing or future intellectual property rights relating to the Submission.
Thanks for your love of Kia and for understanding our need for this policy. Our Kia Customer Care team cannot accept your Submissions, but if you need help or assistance with your Kia vehicle or another issue, you are more than welcome to contact our Customer Care team here. Any feedback you provide to Kia, our Customer Care team, or to any other Kia employees shall be deemed to be a Submission and subject to the terms of this policy.
