The fresh and expressive sculpted body shape and exceptional crossover looks of the Niro EV are designed to delight. The distinctive two-tone hexagonal front grille and unique EV-only exterior design also features a wide body coloured bumper design, incorporating a central charging point. Steel Grey body cladding and a Steel Grey Aero-C Pillar are available for yet more character.
Choice of dynamic alloy wheels
Created exclusively for the Niro EV, the custom 17-inch alloy wheels have a 5-petal design and feature a two-colour finish with black accents. Meanwhile, the Niro Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid, our family hybrid cars, feature specially designed 16-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels, depending on the trim level you choose.

Depending on the trim level you opt for, you can choose cloth, cloth-artificial leather combination, PVC artificial leather or PU artificial leather. The PU artificial leather seats also contain Tencel™ made from eucalyptus wood for a uniquely natural feel.

Making everyday life on the road that little bit easier, the new Smart Key lets you interact with your Kia Niro even from a distance, for maximum comfort. As well as locking and unlocking the doors remotely, and starting and stopping the engine from outside the car, you can even turn on the heating or ventilation inside the cabin before setting off – so that it’s just the right temperature the moment you sit down in the driver’s seat.

Set your destination in advance and send it to your car, or schedule charging sessions so your Niro EV or Plug-In Hybrid is ready when you need it. Once parked, let Last-Mile Navigation guide you to your final destination. Tap the Find My Car function to search for your car when you return. If someone else is driving your car, the Valet Parking function lets you keep an eye on your Niro’s location and driving stats.

Everything you need to know, in your line of sight: The Head-Up Display projects driver-related information on your windscreen, so you can keep your eyes on the road. It superimposes turn instructions from the navigation system over the roads ahead, let’s you know if you’re drifting out of your lane and indicates which vehicle is detected ahead of you. The Niro’s Head-Up Display projects driver-related information onto your windscreen and superimposes turn instructions from the navigation system over the roads ahead. Make sure all your devices are always fully charged. Simply place your smartphone on the charging pad 5 at the front of the centre console for convenient, cable-free charging (up to 15W). For those with a charging cable to hand, there are fast USB charging and seat-mounted USB-C ports throughout for all passengers to use.

Anti-Collision & Highway Assistants
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
Evaluating both camera and radar data from your Niro, the system analyses information about other cars, pedestrians or cyclists crossing the road to avoid a potential collision with them. FCA 1.5 6 also functions to prevent collisions with vehicles when turning at a junction or making a right turn at a junction. If it detects a potential collision, a warning signal appears on your instrument cluster and maximum braking power is applied.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
This system provides audible and visual warning of any vehicles in your blind spot area, and actively controls the vehicle to help avoid a collision. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) provides the same assistance while in reverse, if vehicles are approaching from the left or right.
Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)
NSCC maintains your specified set speed and ensures a safe distance to the vehicle ahead by controlling acceleration and deceleration. It also auto-decelerates your speed on any curvature based on road information provided by the navigation system.

Highway Drive Assist (HDA)*
Designed for effortless driving on motorways, HDA automatically maintains the Niro’s distance to another vehicle in front as well as keeping it centred in its current lane on the highway. At the same time, it controls steering, acceleration and deceleration while you are in-lane.
Parking Assistants
Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist Rear (PCA-R)
You'll have no nasty surprises when backing out of a parking space or driveway. This system warns you if a collision risk with pedestrians or objects is detected while reversing. If the risk increases even after the warning, it helps to automatically stop the vehicle.
Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA)
With this system you can manoeuvre in or out of a parking space even if you aren’t in the car - perfect for tight parking spaces. Using your key, you can safely move the vehicle in a straight line, into or out of a space. Your Niro will automatically brake if it detects an obstacle.

(1) 7-year battery warranty
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. (2) Kia Connect Services
The services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your vehicle’s head unit. Available On-Board Services might differ depending on your country. Smartphone with data plan required to activate Kia Connect Live Services services in countries and models without embedded telematics.
(3) Kia Connect On-Board Services
Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia Connect App. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.
(4) 7-year warranty
Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Valid in all EU member states (plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland & Gibraltar) Deviations according to the valid guarantee conditions, e.g. for battery, paint and equipment, subject to local terms and conditions. (5) Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
The Kia Niro is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.
(6) Wireless Phone Charger
Wireless charging compatible with phones featuring Qi technology or a Qi adapter.
(7) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.
(8) OTA Updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle's navigation system and of the Head Unit software usining the so called "over-the-air" methos ("OTA Updates"). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicel's navigation system and out of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/mian or (ii) at a dealership.
(9) DriveWise technologies
DriveWise technologies are assistance systems and do not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions.
