The new Kia EV6

This technology helps to maintain a safe speed according to road conditions while driving on an expressway or highway. It automatically reduces the speed in sections of highways with tight curves, in order to keep the driver and passengers safe. And it resumes acceleration to pre-set levels thereafter.

HDA2 with HoD automatically adapts your target speed to meet the limit, while keeping you at a safe distance from the vehicles ahead. The upgraded hands-on detection sensors on the steering wheel detect whether you are touching it, even without movement. HDA 2.0 is even capable of changing lane automatically when you use the side indicator.

BCA warns you if there is a risk of collision with a rear side vehicle in the blind-spot while changing lanes. When forward exiting a parallel-parking spot, if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind, it automatically assists with emergency braking.

When you signal to make a left turn at an intersection, an alert will be issued if there’s a potential collision with a vehicle approaching from a neighboring lane. If the risk of collision increases even after you’ve been alerted, the system will automatically activate braking assistance. (Note: For vehicles with right-hand drive, the system provides assistance when turning right).

Whenever you’re driving straight across an intersection, you’ll be warned if the risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle from either the left or right is detected. And if this risk increases after the warning, braking assistance is activated.

If you’re changing lanes, you’ll receive a warning if the risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle is detected. And your steering is automatically assisted if this risk increases even after you’ve been warned.

When you switch lanes, an alert will be triggered if there’s a potential collision with a vehicle in the adjacent lane next to you or behind you in your blind spot. Furthermore, if the collision risk escalates even after you’ve received the initial warning, your steering will be adjusted automatically to assist you.

Parking or exiting a space is no hassle at all in the EV6, with the Parking Assist Side Forward Reverse function, which warns you of pedestrians or objects close to the vehicle. If the risk of collision increases after this warning, it automatically assists with emergency braking.

You’ll never need to worry about navigating your vehicle in and out of tight spots again. The remote parking function does the hard work for you – automatically steering you into place and even performing diagonal parking – even remotely at the tap of your smart key.
