Everything you need to know, in your line of sight: The Head-Up Display projects driver-related information on your windscreen, so you can keep your eyes on the road. It superimposes turn instructions from the navigation system over the roads ahead, let’s you know if you’re drifting out of your lane and indicates which vehicle is detected ahead of you. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
This system provides audible and visual warning of any vehicles in your blind spot area, and actively controls the vehicle to help avoid a collision. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) provides the same assistance while in reverse, if vehicles are approaching from the left or right.
Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)
NSCC maintains your specified set speed and ensures a safe distance to the vehicle ahead by controlling acceleration and deceleration. It also auto-decelerates your speed on any curvature based on road information provided by the navigation system.

Highway Drive Assist (HDA)*
Designed for effortless driving on motorways, HDA automatically maintains the Niro’s distance to another vehicle in front as well as keeping it centred in its current lane on the highway. At the same time, it controls steering, acceleration and deceleration while you are in-lane.

Evaluating both camera and radar data from your Niro, the system analyses information about other cars, pedestrians or cyclists crossing the road to avoid a potential collision with them. FCA 1.5 6 also functions to prevent collisions with vehicles when turning at a junction or making a right turn at a junction. If it detects a potential collision, a warning signal appears on your instrument cluster and maximum braking power is applied.

(1) 7-year battery warranty
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. (2) Kia Connect Services
The services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your vehicle’s head unit. Available On-Board Services might differ depending on your country. (3) Kia Connect On-Board Services
Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia Connect App. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.
(4) 7-year warranty
Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Valid in all EU member states (plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland & Gibraltar) Deviations according to the valid guarantee conditions, e.g. for battery, paint and equipment, subject to local terms and conditions. (5) Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
The Kia Niro is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.
(6) Wireless Phone Charger
Wireless charging compatible with phones featuring Qi technology or a Qi adapter.
(7) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. (8) OTA Updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle's navigation system and of the Head Unit software usining the so called "over-the-air" methos ("OTA Updates"). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicel's navigation system and out of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/mian or (ii) at a dealership.
(9) DriveWise technologies
DriveWise technologies are assistance systems and do not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time.
