Niro Range
The Niro Range makes business sense
With a choice of advanced powertrains, low running costs and a long list of desirable features, there’s a Niro to perfectly suit every business need.
At Kia, we understand that every business is different. As is every driver. So we know how important it is to have plenty of choice when choosing your next car. The Kia Niro range offers you that flexibility, with a choice of three efficient powertrains and plenty of features that help take the stress out of driving.
A powertrain to suit every driver
If plugging in isn’t suitable, the Niro hybrid might be for you. It helps to reduce your running costs by recycling braking energy that would otherwise be wasted. It’s an easy way to reduce your fuel consumption without changing the way you use your vehicle.
If you like the idea of an electric car but aren’t quite ready to make the change, the Kia Niro plug-in hybrid gives you the benefit of fully electric driving for around 30 miles* – significantly more than the UK’s average daily mileage. So you can complete many journeys without using any petrol at all. Planning a longer trip? There’s the familiarity of an efficient petrol engine to get you the rest of the way. And you’ll benefit from the added efficiency of the hybrid system too.
Meanwhile, the fully electric Niro EV offers up to 282* miles of electric range using it’s 64kWh battery. For those who don’t need such a large battery, there’s also a 39kWh version that can cover 180 miles*. So you can enjoy effortless acceleration with zero tailpipe emissions and significantly lower fuel use
*The range was determined according to the standardised EU measurement procedure (WLTP). The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.
Attractive running costs
Whichever powertrain you choose, you’ll enjoy favourable running costs compared with a traditional petrol or diesel equivalent. With strong residual values, improved fuel economy, lower emissions and reduced wear, whole life costs for the Niro range are very competitive.
Consider the potential BIK tax savings, and those costs begin to look even more attractive. Take the e-Niro for example. It currently attracts a BIK tax rate of just 1% – a similarly sized, less-powerful petrol equivalent can attract more than 30%. That’s potentially thousands of pounds saved versus a petrol or diesel alternative over a three year cycle. Allowing you to put your money towards more exciting things.
Features that make driving easier
If you use your car for business, there’s a good chance you’ll spend a lot of time behind the wheel. So it’s important that the environment is as comfortable and stress free as possible.
The Niro range is available with features such as a heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated seats – so you can be comfortable regardless of the weather.
A wireless phone charger and Android AutoTM/Apple CarPlayTM mean you’ll never miss another important business call. While UVO Connect telematics makes it easy to keep track of your trips and mileage – as well as helping you with parking prices and availability.
While you’re on the road, Smart Cruise Control helps take the effort out of long journeys. It’ll even slow down to stop and creep along with traffic until you’re back up to speed. Handy if you’re in a jam. A generous suite of safety features, including Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, will help you to avoid unnecessary incidents, too.
An award-winning company car
Naturally, we believe all of this means that the Kia Niro range is an excellent fit for any business. But don’t just take our word for it. The Kia e-Niro won ‘Best Company Car’ at the 2021 Business Motoring awards, receiving particular praise for its long range. A sentiment shared by What Car?, who named the Kia e-Niro the ‘Best small electric car for long distances’.
Meanwhile, the Kia Niro Hybrid also won ‘Best hybrid’ at the 2021 Business Motoring awards, notably for its efficiency and low running costs.
