Kia EV Day 2025

Kia EV Day 2025: A Celebration of Electric Innovation
Electric Vehicles
marked an exciting new chapter in our electrification journey. Held in Tarragona, Spain, this milestone event showcased our vision for the future of sustainable mobility by bringing together cutting-edge technology, revolutionary design, and advanced manufacturing solutions.
At the heart of EV Day was the debut of our latest electric vehicle
models—the Kia EV4,
Concept EV2, and PV5
—each embodying our commitment to redefining mobility through innovation, versatility, and sustainability
EV Day 2025 was a testament to our mission to create vehicles that simplify and improve everyday life and empower drivers and businesses alike.

Unveiling a New Era in Electric Mobility
Central to EV Day was the highly anticipated debut of the first dedicated model under our Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV)
strategy – the PV5. The event also introduced two innovative vehicles that are raising new standards in the electric vehicle
market: the EV4 and the Concept EV2. Both models illustrate Kia’s dedication to transforming mobility through state-of-the-art engineering, modular design, and an unwavering focus on sustainability.
The EV4, our inaugural electric saloon and hatchback, represents a significant step forward in design and performance. Built on the advanced 400V E-GMP platform, the EV4 is engineered for efficiency and dynamic performance. It delivers impressive WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) ranges, rapid acceleration, and an ultra-low drag coefficient, achieved through precise aerodynamic design.
Enhanced with features such as Digital Key 2.0, i-Pedal 3.0, and a striking 30-inch Navigation
Cockpit, the EV4 aims to provide a connected and immersive driving experience.
“Kia EV Day shows our vision for a sustainable future where electric mobility is accessible to all,” Kia President and CEO, Ho Sung Song remarked. “The EV4 embodies that vision perfectly as a statement of our commitment to innovative design, cutting-edge technology, and a connected driving experience that excites and inspires.”

The Visionary Concept EV2
Complementing the EV4
is the Concept EV2, which offers a glimpse into the future of urban mobility. This compact, B-segment electric SUV
blends modern aesthetics with functional innovation. Its bold exterior - featuring vertical daytime running lights and signature Star Map lighting - captures attention and hints at the vehicle’s dynamic personality. The interior redefines versatility with a multi-configurable cabin that includes flexible seating arrangements, rear-hinged back doors for enhanced accessibility, and customisable audio elements.
Beyond its design, the Concept EV2 reflects Kia’s forward-looking strategy. With integrated over-the-air updates and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)
functionality, it supports a connected urban lifestyle and reimagines how drivers interact with their vehicles.
“With the Concept EV2, we challenged ourselves to create a vehicle that defies expectations, offering innovative technology and practicality beyond its size,” Ho Sung Song said. “This concept previews Kia’s future vision to redefine the segment, bringing a new level of sophistication and usability to urban drivers. It's a clear signal of our dedication to making electric vehicles truly accessible for everyone."

Introducing the Kia PV5: Redefining Flexibility
Another highlight of the day was the introduction of the Kia PV5,
the first model under Kia’s PBV
business strategy.
Engineered to offer remarkable flexibility, the PV5 is available in three distinct body styles: Passenger, Cargo, and Chassis Cab. This versatility is powered by a dedicated E-GMP.S platform and a revolutionary “skateboard” architecture, allowing for a highly modular assembly. This supports quick interchanges between body styles and configurations to suit various needs.
“By integrating the clean efficiency of an electric powertrain with the unprecedented flexibility of our new PBV architecture and advancing our product, software, and manufacturing innovations, the PV5 embodies our core values as a sustainable mobility solutions provider,” stated Ho Sung Song.

A Day of Innovation and Inspiration
EV Day 2025 was more than a platform for unveiling new models; it was a celebration of progress and transformation. By merging inventive design, advanced technology, and a steadfast commitment to sustainability, Kia continues to push the boundaries of electric mobility. Whether it was the immediate, real-world capabilities of the EV4, the forward-thinking promise of the Concept EV2, or the adaptable design of the PV5, each model contributes to setting new benchmarks in the industry.
As we move forward, our focus remains on delivering innovative, accessible, and sustainable mobility solutions for drivers worldwide.
