ADVANCED HYBRID POWERTRAIN TECHNOLOGY
Powered by an efficient 1.6-litre GDi engine, twinned with a 8.9 kWh the Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid employs a sophisticated parallel hybrid system that delivers 141 ps. This innovative hybrid system improves Kia Niro’s efficiency and effectively decreases emissions on everyday journeys. In the case of the Plug-In Hybrid, it allows the car to drive on pure electric energy for up to 65 km within city-driving conditions or 49km on a combined WLTP cycle*.
NEW ENHANCED EXTERIOR STYLING
Refreshed in line with the new design language first introduced with the all-electric Kia e-Niro, these new 2019 Niro models feature substantial styling updates that simply ooze athletic appeal. While the distinctive design and iconic ‘tiger-nose’ grille remain at the front, new grille diamond-look pattern and new bumpers at the front and rear convey an even more purposeful appearance and confident stance on the road. The standard projection headlamps have been redesigned, incorporating Kia’s unique ‘ice cube’ design with new full LED headlamps also available, while the bumper features new LED daytime running lights below the headlamps with a unique double arrow-layout. UPSCALE DESIGN IN ALL CABIN DETAILS
Fully revamped, the Kia Niro Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid are both fitted with a host of visual and material finishes that together create an unmistakeably upscale ambience throughout the cabin. Optional colour customisation packs are also offered, along with impressive new tech features such as the optional new high definition 10.25-inch TFT LCD Navigation widescreen of the main display, and 7.0-inch supervision full digital instrument cluster for the driver. Both Niro variants also feature Kia’s advanced new UVO CONNECT telematics system, which connects the driver to the world around to provide them with invaluable information during a drive and seamless interaction with the car while far from it. Plus there is a series of new active driver-assistive safety & convenience technology additions like Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, High Beam Assist and the new Electric Parking Brake with Autohold.
