Groundbreaking, unorthodox and truly unique, Imagine by Kia is an exhilarating vision that hints at what the future holds for electrification at Kia. The fully-electric four-door passenger car is full of surprises and bold innovations both inside and out. It embraces a warmer and more human approach to electric driving that marks the start of an exciting new design direction for the brand.
EMOTIONAL DESIGN IN EVERY DETAIL
At its heart, this concept takes a human-centric approach to Kia’s automotive design of the future. Imagine by Kia is underpinned by a low-mounted, induction-charged battery pack that powers a compact powertrain – and has allowed Kia’s designers to create a thoroughly new and progressive take on electric driving. With one central aim: to send your pulse racing.
DESIGNED TO WOW THE HUMAN SPIRIT
Stylishly reinterpreting Kia’s iconic ‘tiger nose’ grille, Imagine by Kia features a bold new illuminated ‘tiger mask’ that encircles the main LED headlamps, creating a distinctive new lighting motif for Kia in the 21st Century. The human approach to the design is also encapsulated by the ruches adorning its front air-curtain and flanks, with a great sense of tension and purity in the tautly-drawn sheetmetal and crisp shoulder-line crease that runs around the entire car. Equally dynamic and captivating is the single sheet of glass used for both the windscreen and roof, creating a vast sky-window. Meanwhile, every aspect of the exterior styling has been honed to boost aerodynamic efficiency and reduce turbulence and drag.
STEP INTO THE CABIN OF THE FUTURE
As well creating an extra-spacious cabin, the all-electric architecture of Imagine by Kia also provides for considerably more cargo space and versatility, with two capacious loadbays at the front and the rear. And that is just a taste of things to come. The design innovations throughout the interior are countless and captivating – from the 21 individual ultra high-resolution immersive screens that curve their synchronised way around the top of the dashboard to the striking shockwave design of the four leather and silk-covered seats, or the floating centre console, right down to the tactile sculpted steering wheel and the pedals that are recessed when the car is stationary.
