Designed for both urban and long distance driving, the Kia e-Niro takes you wherever you want to go – with a range of up to 455 km on a single charge (combined cycle). There is a choice of battery: The 64kWh battery is designed for these longer-distance journeys and can be recharged from 20% to 80% in just 40 minutes with a 100kW fast charger. If you mainly drive in the city, you might opt for the 39.2kWh battery pack with a 312 km range instead. Enjoyment and engagement is also guaranteed too: Combined with the long-range battery, the 150kW motor (204 PS) accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds – for a dynamic start to match its bold design.
Powered by a combination of an efficient 1.6-litre GDi engine and a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack, the Niro Hybrid employs a sophisticated parallel hybrid system capable of achieving a pure electric range of over 50 km. This greatly reduces emissions on everyday journeys yet still offers the flexibility and unlimited range of hybrid mode at the push of a button. Plus it has fully-independent front and rear suspension and a slick-shifting six-speed double-clutch transmission, for the perfect balance between on-road comfort and driver engagement.
Pairing the 1.6-litre GDI engine with an 8.9 kWh (59 kW) lithium-polymer battery pack, the Niro Plug-In Hybrid strikes an ideal balance between optimum fuel efficiency and an electrically driven range of up to 65 km (or a WLTP combined cycle electric range of 49 kilometres). Plugging it in to charge is also easy and convenient – for even longer range whenever you need it. The Niro Plug-In Hybrid also employs the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, for a more enjoyable and engaging drive.
The fully revamped Niro cabin gets everything right – from the upscale details and finishes to the spacious dimensions and many innovative technologies designed with two things in mind: your comfort and enjoyment. This is the kind of interior even living legends feel right at home in.
Inside the cabin, each Niro is built with space, comfort and crossover versatility in mind. This translates directly into ample head, shoulder and legroom for both the driver and passengers. Plus, an unusually large cargo capacity in the trunk with flexible storage space. Helping you keep your options wide open on every journey – with plenty of room and clever ways to configure it.
The Niro cockpit and cabin have been innovated for a whole new level of enjoyable driving – with a host of smart and empowering technologies dedicated to making the driver’s life easier and enhancing the level of comfort for everyone on board. In fact with an interior this upscale and inviting, you’ll find yourself wanting to just keep driving – or to simply hang out here for that matter.*
