We plan to expand the availability of Upgrades to other vehicles in the future. Currently, the Kia EV9 is the only model that supports Upgrades through the Kia Connect Store.
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days from the original purchase period. This applies to subscription time periods. Please note that this cancellation option does not apply to OTA (Over-the-Air) purchases.
You can either make a single payment for the Upgrade and use it indefinitely, or choose between usage periods of 12 months or 6 months for a flexible Kia Upgrade experience. Additionally, you can purchase Over-The-Air (OTAs) which include two Updates.
Currently, you can only use a credit card to make purchases in the Kia Connect Store. However, in the future, additional payment options will be made available.

After you purchase the Upgrade for your vehicle, it only takes a few minutes to download and install it.
Yes. The trial period for your Upgrade lasts for 14 days. During this time, if you decide to cancel the purchase, you won't be charged.
Currently, the only music streaming service available in the music streaming Upgrade is Amazon Music. However, more content providers will be added in the future.
The Kia Connect Store will be releasing new Upgrades in the future so you can always enjoy the latest technology and features from entertainment and customization of vehicle performance.
Yes, the purchased Upgrades will stay with the car. This means that if you sell your car, the Upgrades can be utilized by the next owner for the remaining period, whether it's a lifetime, 12 months, or 6 months. However, if the previous owner deactivated Kia Connect, the new owner will need to activate Kia Connect in order to continue using the Upgrade.

You no longer need to fumble around for keys to access your car. To lock or unlock your Kia, just keep your smartphone in your pocket, and as you come within about a 1-meter radius, your Kia unlocks automatically.Starting your Kia.
Having your smartphone in the vehicle is all you need to start your Kia. Begin your journey by pressing the brake pedal and then the start button as usual.

How it works:
Sign up through the Kia Connect app and insert your preferred payment method. Activate Kia Connect to your car and link the vehicle to your app. In-Car Payment is now ready to use.
A notification will appear on your Kia’s screen while parking. Review the parking details and start the parking session.
Once you're ready to leave, simply drive away. Your parking session will end automatically, and your payment will be processed through the Kia Connect app.

To sign-up select "In-Car Payment" in the Kia Connect app. After agreeing to the service terms and conditions, connect compatible vehicles and register your credit or debit cards at "Kia Pay" to complete the sign-up process.
SignupIn-Car Payment is currently available for EV3 vehicles released after August '24 (more to come). The supported vehicles will be expanded over time.
ModelsYou can add VISA, MasterCard, and American Express cards. Merchants may offer different card brands. Parkopedia, our partner, accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express for In-Car Payment parking fees.
CardsUsers can identify parking spots that accept this feature in three ways. When you enter an In-Car Payment parking area, your infotainment screen will automatically display a message. Alternatively, an In-Car Payment icon will also appear with the parking lot name and address on the navigation and map screen. Lastly, under Home > In-car Payment > Parking, the infotainment system lists nearby parking lots by distance. To provide correct parking information, all location information is constantly updated via live data.
AcceptanceYour infotainment screen will display a message when you approach the parking area. Select In-Car Payment for parking payment in the pop-up message to display parking information, choose parking duration and start a new parking session. Your card in Kia Pay will be automatically charged for parking once the session is complete.

Enter your phone number to receive a verification code, which you enter on the car's Dashboard to verify yourself.

Scan QR code.
With compatible vehicles, you can scan the QR code directly with the Kia Connect app in order to add the vehicle to your account. QR code can be found on your navigation screen. Alternatively, you can enter the VIN.

Link your device.
Now select “Verification Code” on the vehicle's Electronic Dashboard Unit, enter the visible verification code in your phone app and click “ok”.

2 7 years of map updates The program is only valid for new Kia vehicles purchased after February 28, 2013 with factory installed LG navigation devices. Labour costs may be incurred at the service point for the time available to perform the update. The 7-year map update program offers six map updates, as Kia vehicles are already shipped ex works with the latest map available. The warranty of the navigation system is not affected by this program. Kia is not responsible for the quality of the card data supplied by the card data supplier HERE.
3 Kia Connect In-Car Services Information and control service for your Kia; the Services will be available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained from your Kia partner and on kia.com. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.
4 All features in the section above are available in the latest version of Kia Connect In-App Services and Kia Connect In-Car Services. Depending on your Kia model and trim you might not have access to all of them.

⁶ The Boost Upgrade may be purchased and used only for vehicles sold and registered in Germany. In all other cases, the vehicle requires recertification after the Boost Upgrade is purchased. If these prerequisites are met, you can also drive your vehicle in other EU/non-EU countries.
⁷ The Music Streaming service is part of the regular Kia Connect Live Services, and has a limited free period of 1 month up to 3 years, depending on the model. Only the first-time activation of Music Streaming happens via the Kia Connect Store.
All vehicles, with the exception of EV9 model year 2024 and Sorento model year 2025 and 2026, sold from May 2021 and equipped with a telematics unit are eligible to receive a total of two (2), free-of-charge “over-the-air (OTA) Map and Infotainment” software updates. The above-mentioned models, EV9 and Sorento are eligible to receive a total of six (6), free-of-charge “OTA Map and Infotainment” software updates. Once the two or six, whichever is applicable, free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed consecutively, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
